Terms of Service
Last updated 5 September 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and SolarBachat for using this website. Plain-language summary first, binding text below: the calculator gives estimates, not quotes; we introduce you to at most three installers and are not a party to any contract you sign with them; and you never pay us — installers do.
§ 1Definitions
- “We”, “us”, “SolarBachat” — the operator of this website, a private platform.
- “Homeowner” — a person who uses the calculator or requests installer quotes.
- “Installer” — a solar installation business introduced to a homeowner through the platform.
- “Lead” — a homeowner request for quotes, including the calculator inputs submitted with it.
§ 2Estimates are not quotes and not advice
All savings, subsidy, sizing and payback figures are indicative estimates computed from state-average tariffs, typical irradiance, benchmark installed costs and stated assumptions published with each result. Actual outcomes depend on your DISCOM tariff structure, site conditions and the installer you contract with. Nothing on this site is financial, engineering or legal advice, and no figure is a guarantee.
§ 3Installer introductions
When you request quotes, we share your name, phone number and calculator inputs with at most three installers serving your area. We perform basic verification of installers (registration checks, a call) but do not supervise their work and are not a party to, nor responsible for, any contract, price, warranty or workmanship between you and an installer. Independently verify registrations and warranties before making any payment.
§ 4Who pays whom
The calculator, guides and city pages are free for homeowners. Installers pay us per lead delivered or via subscription plans. This commercial relationship does not change the estimate model: the same maths applies whether or not a city has paying installers.
§ 5Acceptable use
- Do not submit false leads, scraper traffic or bulk automated requests.
- Do not attempt to access the admin area, other users’ data, or rate-limit and abuse protections.
- Do not republish substantial parts of the dataset without attribution and a link.
- Installers: do not misrepresent registration status. We may pause an account that homeowners report as unresponsive or misleading.
§ 6Intellectual property
The calculator model, city datasets, guides and design are our property. Government scheme data (subsidy rates, portal processes) belongs to the public domain and we claim no rights over it. You may quote our figures with attribution and a link to the relevant page.
§ 7Limitation of liability
The service is provided “as is”. To the maximum extent permitted by Indian law, SolarBachat is not liable for decisions made or losses incurred on the basis of estimates shown here, or for acts, omissions or defaults of third-party installers. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under law.
§ 8Changes, governing law and jurisdiction
We may update these terms; material changes will be reflected in the “last updated” date above. Continued use after changes means acceptance. These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at Hyderabad, Telangana have exclusive jurisdiction.
