Estimates Disclaimer
Last updated 5 September 2026
Every number on SolarBachat is an estimate produced by a published model. That is a feature — you can check every assumption — but it also means no figure on this site should be treated as a quote, a guarantee, or professional advice. This page states the limits plainly.
§ 1Where our numbers come from
State tariffs are indicative averages of domestic slab rates as of 2025–26 and change with DISCOM orders. Generation figures use state-typical irradiance of 108–128 units per kW per month. Installed cost uses a ₹58,000/kW residential benchmark. Subsidy figures follow MNRE’s PM Surya Ghar scheme as published on the national portal. Each assumption appears on the page with the result it affects.
§ 2What your real numbers can differ by
- Your exact DISCOM slab, fixed charges and time-of-day terms.
- Roof orientation, tilt, shading and dust — up to ±20% of generation.
- Panel and inverter brands, structure type and wiring runs.
- State net-metering settlement rules and capacity charges.
- Subsidy timing, and any state scheme changes.
§ 3Your independent-verification checklist
Before signing anything: confirm subsidy eligibility on the official portal (pmsuryaghar.gov.in); demand an itemised quote (panel wattage and brand, inverter brand, structure, cabling, earthing/lightning protection); ask the installer to reconcile their figures against our calculator line by line; and check your DISCOM’s net-metering settlement rules yourself. A good installer welcomes this conversation; a bad one resists it.
§ 4No affiliation with government bodies
SolarBachat is a private platform. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated on behalf of MNRE, any state DISCOM, or any other government body. The only official subsidy portal is pmsuryaghar.gov.in — beware of anyone charging you to “apply on your behalf”.
